About Us

Age Old Agriculture is a female owned and operated 1.5 acre vegetable and flower farm located in Cotter, AR.

Founded in 2017, our mission is to provide nutrient dense, responsibly grown vegetables and flowers to our community.

We are officially Certified Naturally Grown!
What does that mean you might ask?

❌ We never use synthetic chemical pesticides, fungicides or fertilizers
🌻 We use holistic practices that work with nature to address pest, disease, and nutrient challenges
🐝 We invest in our soil, water, wildlife, and air with ecological practices
🐞 We use organic seeds whenever possible and never use chemically treated or genetically modified seeds
+ much much more! 🌱

We are currently selling April-November at the Mountain Home farmers markets, and year round to local grocery stores & florists. We operate a seasonal farm stand on the farm on Fridays from 4pm-6pm Memorial Day-Labor Day weekend.

Ellie

My love for farming started in college. After growing up in Little Rock, AR I was ready for a change. I set out to receive a degree in Design Management from Parsons, only to find out during my sophomore year of college while taking a course called “Unsustainability and Consumerism” that my true passion was environmentalism. I went on to receive a degree in Environmental Studies with a focus on sustainable food systems. While living in New York I apprenticed on The Youth Farm at the High School for Public Service in Brooklyn, at Brooklyn Grange, and, after graduating, spent a year working for Americorps building and maintaining community gardens throughout Brooklyn and Queens. Once the allure of the New York hustle and bustle wore off, I spent a summer WWOOFing in southern Chile as a summer garden manager. When I returned to the states, my sister and I spent a summer living out my Jeep before settling in Steamboat Springs, CO. After a few years of gardening in a climate with a 58 day growing season, my now husband Matt informed me that we would need to relocate for his job. I had one requirement: I'm starting a farm wherever we go.

BONAFIDE, CERTIFIED, FARM DOGS

***These are hard working, farm dogs who get along great with humans, but do not care for your 2 legged friends. Please leave your pets at home when visiting the farm***
Picture
Junebug

Loves a belly rub. Prefers to hold your hand. Doesn't understand why Winnie eats raw okra.

10/10 would pet.

It's June's world, we're all just lucky enough to live in it.

Winnie

Hobbies include harvesting her own bell peppers, okra and carrots.

Dislikes rabbits, mice, her tail and the dreaded garden hose.

Howls at EVERYTHING.
Yes, this is the dog you hear when floating through Tucker Shoals on the White River.

In memory of Tim
The farm, and my life, would not be the same without you.
