EllieEllie’s love for farming started in college. After growing up in Little Rock, AR she was ready for a change. She set out to receive a degree in Design Management from Parsons, only to find out during her sophomore year of college while taking a course called “Unsustainability and Consumerism” that her true passion was environmentalism. She went on to receive a degree in Environmental Studies with a focus on sustainable food systems. While living in New York she apprenticed on The Youth Farm at the High School for Public Service in Brooklyn, at Brooklyn Grange, and, after graduating, spent a year in Americorps building and maintaining community gardens throughout Brooklyn and Queens. Once the allure of the NYC hustle and bustle wore off, she spent a summer WWOOFing in southern Chile as a summer garden manager. When she returned to the states, a summer long roadtrip landed her in northwestern Colorado. While living with a 59 day growing season she completed the Routt County Master Gardeners Program. In the spring of 2017 when her now husband, Matt, informed her they would need to relocate for his job she had one requirement: we’re starting a farm wherever we go.

Junebug
Loves a belly rub. Prefers to hold your hand. Doesn't understand why Winnie eats raw okra. 10/10 would pet. It's June's world, we're all just lucky enough to live in it. P.S. Juney does not like other dogs, so please leave your fur babies at home ;) |
Winnie
Hobbies include harvesting her own bell peppers, okra and carrots. Dislikes rabbits, mice, her tail and the dreaded garden hose. Howls at EVERYTHING. Yes, this is the dog you hear when floating through Tucker Shoals on the White River. |
